6 Apr
This week I am working on editing part 3 (of 4) of the book. We are scheduled to go to galleys on April 21st, but I need to be finished before then….we are taking the boys to Notre Dame on April 17th for the weekend - for the Blue & Gold game - their first time to South Bend! I also have meetings scheduled that weekend to set up a book-signing and to discuss other ways to promote the book throughout the Notre Dame community. Stay tuned!

Haley-awesome is the only word to describe all this. I am already crying and haven’t even been past this website! I can’t WAIT to read the book, re-live the story, and share in your journey. (-:
Haley,
I’m so proud of you! Writing a book is something many consider but very few do. I remember when you and I shared that little office at Xavier our first year of teaching. You became a professing member of the Catholic church that spring. I was so happy for your new journey as a Christian woman. It’s amazing how you are so similar to an infant when you first accept Jesus into your heart. Through many trials and triumphs, God works mightily in your heart to help you to grow spiritually. In James 1:2-4 it says
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of
many kinds
My daughter just helped me post a comment too soon! To continue with the scripture from James:
because you know that the testing of your faith develops
perserverance. Perserverance must finish its work so that
you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
This is one of my favorite scripture verses and I feel it very closely resembles how you feel about your journey through the trials of many kinds. Congratulations Haley.
Well, if anyone can finish on time, or even beat a deadline, apparently its you, Haley! In the short time I’ve known you, without realizing what your personal experiences were, I glimpsed that can-do attitude. Little did I know how can-do you really are! LOL!
This topic speaks to me on so many levels, and at the risk of sounding cliche, you are going to be an inspiration to more people than you’ll ever know, I’m sure. This is a gift you’re giving people, and not just the ones you know.
May that karma return to you tenfold!
