I know your grandfather is very proud the lemonade you've made in your life!!

For anyone who hasn't been on the journey with a loved one at the end of their life it is something to behold. A peaceful exit from this earth is paralleled with the wonder of welcoming a newborn and truly gives meaning the word 'awesome'. My grandmother died peacefully surrounded by love, music and comfort. As she often said, "I am ready to go. This house is old and it is time to move out."

Although me heart is sad, I am also thankful for so many things my grandmother gave us during her 98 years. She witnessed so many life events, within our family and the world at large. As we all gathered for her service, we took a minute to share the life lessons that we will carry forward: the presence of grace no matter the situation, that family goes well beyond blood relations, the power of quite observation, and to find your true self and love it.

Haley, thank you so much for your support and generosity. You are awesome!

How very sweet - made me weep happy tears and sad tears! So many lessons to be learned from older generations...and as we age (yikes!) so many lessons we have to share! Thanks for sharing this one!
